Dear Dr. Sharkey:

I sincerely appreciate your response to my previous e-mail, and thank you for the efforts put forth by the FDA CVM. We are very pleased that our efforts are recognized, and we certainly shall continue to work with you by writing our elected representatives, both State and Federal, to make this issue (informed consent, distributing client information sheets, etc.) known to them. Mandatory distribution of the Client Information Sheet is very important! Veterinarians for the most part simply do not comply with the suggestions of the FDA CVM and the drug companies. I look forward to a huge e-mail/letter writing campaign starting to bring to the forefront the necessity for Client Information Sheet distribution, and informed consent! . A copy of this e-mail is being sent not only to Doghealth2 mailing list, but to the very long list of dog owners I have been in touch with over the years.

I applaud you for your continued efforts on behalf of our beloved companion animals. You have some excellent new ideas and we look forward to continuing our efforts.
